Ronda Wegman, M.A., LPC, RPT
Ronda was born and raised in the Greater Houston Area. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of Houston, where she graduate Summa Cum Laude. In 2009, she completed her Master of Arts Degree in Community Counseling at John Carroll University, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. Ronda opened Houston Professional Counseling, LLC to serve her hometown and provide quality mental health to her community.
Ronda specializes in treating anxiety across the life-span. She takes a solution-focused and directive approach to improve automatic thoughts and unhelpful behaviors. She is interactive and engaging in session. She believes in the healing power of the therapeutic relationship and giving her clients a safe space to make positive changes for themselves.
Ronda has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. As a former teacher and therapist in schools, she has a wealth of experience helping children and adolescents learn new coping skills to address their emotional, academic, and social needs.
Ronda is a Registered Play Therapist and offers this service to children 3-10 years old in a dedicated Play Therapy Room.
