Teresa has been counseling teens and their families for over twenty years. She graduated from the University of Houston, Clear Lake with her undergraduate degree in 1990 and then with her Master of Science in Counseling in 1996. Teresa has worked with teens and adults in the school setting and in private practice. She has taught court ordered classes for parents who were in the divorce process and has worked with adults as part of an Employee Assistance Program.

Teresa uses a solution-focused approach to help clients develop and access the tools that they need to solve problems. Most clients have everything that they need to handle obstacles that they may encounter; they just need a little help developing and implementing a plan. Teresa’s goal is to listen to each client with empathy and an open mind, and to help the client identify their personal strengths and positive resources.

Teresa is available to work with adolescents and adults who may need some extra support as they go on their own personal journey towards more fulfilling relationships, personal happiness, and improved mental health. She is also available for LPC supervision.
